“If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
Christ Who is the Truth, decided to abide in us. And on the cross He solved every possible problem that can occur, every circumstance and every state of the human mind. His cross still radiates the strength that was wholly and completely released two thousand years ago. For this very reason today we can call upon the name of Jesus and in His name we can declare healing or breakthrough, because He finished everything on the cross. Listen, if Jesus healed in the moment we release our prayer, this means He didn’t finish His work there and then. I want to throw some light on a false thinking that has been circling around churches worldwide: let us not be deceived thinking that God begun loving us the moment the cross happened, because the problem with the sin has been dealt with. If that is the case, then there wouldn’t had been an initiative for the cross in the first place! And let us be careful when we think that God loved us even more we got saved. This is where it all breaks down with these kind of thoughts – we won’t be able to build our trust in Him because there is no certainty in the steadiness of His character, we’ll end up worshiping a god who is influenced by our growth and change. The Bible clearly states that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, and that we can firmly and securely put our lives into His hands. He never changes and His grace for us endures forever.
