Don’t be afraid, only believe

“Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your entire spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. ”

1 Thessalonians 5:23

The following what am I about to share will most probably sound extreme to you. When we go to heaven our renewed body will not have any blood in it. Here on earth the blood nourishes the body, but in heaven we won’t be needing it because the very structure of the body will be filled with the Holy Spirit completely. If we truly are believers, this won’t be too hard to grasp.
I am aware we are surrounded by things which are in constant process of decaying. The world we live in is decaying daily. The body we live in sometimes doesn’t obey us. But if we commit and present our body to Jesus, it will obey Him! Jesus is well able to keep even our body when we learn to live according to the Spirit. So many people including believers live in constant fear of death or fear of their body decaying, because they try to live apart from the Spirit. We have been given a power within this powerful promise in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, yet it won’t be effective if we try in our own strength.
Fear from death is the most common condition of the human heart. But what people don’t realize is fear opens the door for sickness. And sickness in itself is the advanced stage of death. Fear is the starting point, stress is the successive stage, the symptoms are the indicators of the sickness and the sickness itself is ushering death.
We ought not be afraid of death, because we are the dwelling place of the ever Living One, and death trembles in His presence.
We should live according to the One Who abides in us, for He is well able to keep our soul and body. This is a promise for those who believe, those who live by faith. It’s up to us how we choose. Either we will live according to the principles of the worldly system, or by faith in the One Who promised and cannot lie.
