The Kingdom Of God

“Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them-the kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say ‘look, here it is’ or ‘there!’ for behold the kingdom of God is in you, in the midst of you” – Luke 17:20, 21

I often think why so many Christians experience a state that is opposite of a blessed state. They go through a rough season of hardship. I believe the main reason for that is our selfishness and the egocentric mindset.
The concept of seeking the kingdom of God doesn’t just include the process of only seeking, which fairly puts us in a passive state. This on the other hand makes us wonder: where’s the kingdom, what’s like, when we’ll see it if it appears…
People(believers) rarely are aware or understand the concept of the kingdom dwelling inside of them once the Holy Spirit moved in! Seeking the kingdom implies finding it, realizing its power so it can manifest itself through us.

And this is where things break down. When we lack understanding of how the kingdom works, we become slaves to our own reflections of the truth. We begin to believe our version of what we’ve known to be the truth and this momentary reality runs our life, instead of the absolute truth of Jesus. Our mind has the key role here for it serves as the foundation upon which we build our life. If we feed our mind with thoughts and information that don’t have their source in heaven, then we live according to our free will which has decided to take these thoughts in and whether we are aware of it or not, we go in our flesh, becoming rebellious toward God. As it’s written in Romans 8:7-8 “The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God…those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” or Galatians 6:8 “For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption..”
These sobering thoughts bring us back to the original source of our essence and existence -the absolute truth of Jesus Christ.

That’s why He came full of grace and truth so He can help us each time we face a lie. We have a great Defender that cannot be stopped..He is relentless…
