Preaching The Gospel

“Do your best to present yourselves to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” – 2Timothy 2:15

When we got saved, our nature changed, not for the better, but changed entirely. We became new creations. Naturally new processes occurred and began to unfold. Even the way we use our words is different. They bring different purpose for the listeners. Now we speak of God knowing He always has the best plan for them, bringing life and wisdom on their path.

Yet, preaching the best news ever(to me is far beyond good)will inevitably bring collision. And in most cases our friends will become our enemies the moment we begin preaching to them. Why? Because preaching is a spiritual thing. When we explain the Gospel we reveal the powerful truths in it which bring light, light enlightens the secrets. Light scatters the darkness.
And frankly, when without God no one wants his secrets revealed. This is why people react to our words the way they do. They feel exposed and their conscience speaks guilt because of their sin.
The truth of God challenges them. And if they are stiff-necked they will oppose us. Because it will shake the condition of their mind and will cause unrest(whether due to unhealed soul which now it has been challenged to let go of the old ways or due to unclean spirits that took hold of their mind).
The truth is that each one of us has a domain of influence given by the Holy Spirit. Let’s position ourselves to be available to God’s leadership!
