“…yet He is actually not far from each one of us, for in Him we live and move and have our being…” -Acts 17:27-28
When we are and we stand in Him, we are truly free. Free to move, free to speak, free to create. David voiced this so well: “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light on my path.”
But who’s leading us on that path?! Yes, we move forward and we make the next step, but who’s directing us?! It’s the Holy Spirit!
And actually the word just confirms the reality of the leadership of the Holy Spirit; yet the word alone by itself won’t be able to fulfill God’s plan for our life.
The Holy Spirit and His guidance are ever needed. We cannot function without Him. We can try depending on old ways or patterns or even His leadership from previous instances; but it will have no result. We need His living and vibrant leadership daily. He is a person who will be honored when we appreciate Him by allowing Him to lead us on daily basis. When you have fellowship with someone, you give that person your time and your openness.
The Holy Spirit desires to lead us into the secrets of His Word.
Now…not all what He speaks to us will be found exactly in His written word. John describes this saying that Jesus did so many things which aren’t recorded in the Bible, because if they were they wouldn’t fit in just in one book only.
But what the Holy Spirit speaks to us will always be confirmed by the written word.
That is the perfect balance in the walk with Him.
