God’s Kingdom Is In Us

“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son…” -Colossians 1:13

The Gospel isn’t just the good news, it’s the BEST NEWS EVER! It is something that wasn’t heard or seen before and none could ever think or imagine. Yes, it’s the best news ever and it has the tendency to ‘insult’ one’s mind, yet it brings salvation for those who humble themselves wholeheartedly.

We’ve been privileged to be delivered from the domain and influence of darkness where we couldn’t truly see and be transferred to the kingdom of light. And now we not only can have a sense of the shape of things, but we can see them clearly. What’s really happening? The Holy Spirit is sharpening our senses so in that way we grow in perceiving spiritually all that is around us.

Being saved in the first place is amazing, but if we only remain on this level of experience – just knowing we are saved – we’ll miss out on the great wonders of God’s kingdom and God’s closeness which are NOW available. Kingdom of God in us now!
What we perceive in the spiritual world isn’t something distant or unknown (or it shouldn’t be) because it’s already in us — Jesus said so. God’s kingdom is in us. In the realm of the Spirit we are already recognized as newborn beings and the goal for a newborn is to grow and mature. And again I will say: getting revelations and gaining understanding about what’s being revealed should not frighten us at any time and therefore stop us.

After all, the Holy Spirit lives in us; this is his work and he is faithful to bring to completion the good work he began in us. The promise that Jesus our Lord made, that he will be with us until the end of the age, wasn’t given in vain. The Holy Spirit who is the best Teacher will teach us all there is about Jesus Christ.
