Obedience

“…and you who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, He has now reconciled in His body of flesh by His death in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before Him…” -Colossians 1:21-22

In God’s Kingdom there are two types of righteous people: mature and immature ones.
According the verse above, both types of people are righteous and this crucial to remember (otherwise we might end up in legalism).

Now, the immature righteous person makes insanely crazy choices a.k.a unwise choices. For immaturity basically is not possessing wisdom, not having clarity and necessary sharpness. These people make collateral damage to the church. Yet God loves them and we should learn to do so!

The mature person on the other hand is the one who grows in truth, in good deeds and in acts according to the working of His great might in the life of the person.
The beautiful part of it is that due to the great might of the Holy Spirit in us we are well able to make good decisions based on heavenly wisdom. Some people think that this great power of the Spirit consists of signs and wonders. Most certainly not!

But there’s power in the wisdom. Because heavenly wisdom and understanding go hand in hand, thus the obedience follows. I was thinking of the word ‘addiction’. This word doesn’t exist in the Bible, because it’s not about what one faces, but rather about one’s disobedience.
Obedience is the key ingredient which brings great results or liberation and it will be rewarded.
