“Through Jesus Christ we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings knowing that suffering produces endurance and endurance produces character, and character produces hope…”
The problem in the Church worldwide today is that believers give the already defeated enemy way too much room. This attitude ought to bother us because if we have experienced the beauty of Christ, then we should rest in the fact that the enemy has no strength. That is the truth!
I guess the only explanation why do we think otherwise is that we aren’t aware or convinced enough in ourselves that we are the light of this world. Jesus made us light! Let’s not neglect the prophetic word we have for people, because we don’t know the state they are in when we meet them.
As far as God is concerned Jesus dealt with the sin on the cross once and for all. There’s no punishment for the humanity on His part even when people sometimes experience pressure thinking the opposite. The pressure cannot be greater than faith. If it is, in that case we lack boldness in our faith. It’s the law of physics that when there’s resistance the pressure is reduced. The same law can be applied in the spiritual. Let’s utilize our faith well.
Although the inner pressure (described in Romans 5:3) is harder than any outer, yet because of the Holy Spirit in us we are able to handle it-when we understand that it is actually the Holy Spirit in us Who handles it.
That’s why the rest in the Lord is not a destination we yet need to reach, but rather a way God works in our lives and He does it through exploring God’s Kingdom and because this kingdom is great that’s why God gave us the Church so that we can explore it together.
